The Sea, the Sun and Your Son

I see Your face

          in the morning

                 and the setting sun

I hear Your peace

                 in the quiet evening

              by waters that run

I feel Your embrace

               in the days coming

                            with Your Love, never gone

Pour

when heaven

overflows

countless

falling stars

reincarnate

into

the life

of magical droplets

of water

dancing,

jumping,

rejoicing

into

the rhythm

the universe

sings

perhaps

it is

your language

oh, nature’s soul

to bathe

every countenance

of life

on this abode

with billion kisses

that this temple

would be left

saturated,

purged

pour,

pour.

(Written at Infinitea Bayani Road, Fort Bonifacio.

A poem I wrote while watching an evening downpour from the cafe’s

transparent door)

Gumamela

a lady in red
as dusk commences, calls me
in grace she stands and brags
her charm, she likens to a ruby

Blood Moon

one in a million countenance

for even just a glance

let this gazer behold

the bloody light foretold

then i shall find peace

in your Maker’s glory

and indescribable bliss

underneath the starless roof

where i see your abode’s  loft

a wordless whisper, I exhale

from my heart to yours, a lover’s tale

so hold back the tears of heaven

let not the cherubs cry

that i may see you up the sky

or the uncountable days I shall number

and wait,

to wait a hundred slumber

To a Place that Is

To a place that is quiet
where my footsteps are
louder than the world
To a place where a lush
awaits my back
to lie and dream
in pages,
in words
and in verses
To a place that permits time
to stop and just smell
the fragrance of flowers
under the blue summer sky
To a place where the wind
kisses my face
with the indescribable
calmness in His promises

I want to go
